Jakob Nielsen's website provides information on principles of best practise in web design and how people actually use the WWW. This can be supplemented by information from Macromedia.com on the need for accessibility as an issue and how accessibility guidelines can improve websites for everyone.
The IBM website highlights case studies and the company's involvement with sport organisations and the solutions that have been provided. Using the search function and entering "sport" links to pages of case studies of various sport organisations IBM has been involved with including the US Open tennis, The Olympics, Wimbledon, The Ryder Cup Golf Championship, and the US national Hockey League.
